According to me, the making of a 4inch iPhone in 2016 makes sense. The phone I’m currently testing for the review is the OnePlus X, which carries a 5inch display and a design language which was earlier carried by iPhone 5s, and Nexus 4. No doubt, the smartphone is super good looking.
But, the catch here is that one of our teammates doesn’t find 5inch phone comfortable to hold. Yes, because of small hands. And, I’m sure he is not the only one out there. So, manufacturing a smaller 4inch sized iPhone and releasing in 2016, seems to be a nice plan.
In my earlier report, the details available earlier claimed the appearance of next compact iPhone with the next flagship iPhone 7. But, the recently released reports claim that Apple might release this phone in Q1 (or Q2), itself.
The two reports contradicts each other, as one claims the device to carry iPhone 6s design language while the other bets on the iPhone 5s. Personally, any of these design languages will work for me, but if I’ve to pick one, then 5s will, of course, my selection any day.
There aren’t any other details available for now, as you can expect from a Cupertino company’s product. Still, I’m betting on specs like A8 SoC, Wi-Fi (802.11ac), Bluetooth 4.1, faster LTE, and, of course, the 4inch Retina display. 3D Touch is definitely going to keep away from the device to make it affordable.
Whether you believe these reports or not, in either side, you should be excited for this iPhone. I am for sure!
